Bronze sculpture with medal patina representing The Sower. Signed at the tip on the embankment.
Beginning of the 20th century.
Very good state.
Founding member of the Brussels avant-garde group, Les Vingt, Jef Lambeaux is a famous Belgian sculptor who notably participated in the Universal Exhibitions of Brussels in 1897, Paris in 1900 and Liège in 1905 and collaborated with Victor Horta for his Pavilion of Human Passions in the Parc du Cinquentenaire (1899). He was made a member of the Royal Academy of Belgium in 1903.
