    This sculpture is entitled Abdela, it is signed by Georges Halbout Tanney, pseudonym of Georges Halbout 1895-1986. He was a pupil of Jean Boucher at the Beaux-Arts in Paris, then shared his studio with Paul Belmondo in Parc Monsouris. He obtained numerous distinctions, the Blumenthal prize in 1920, the Abd-el-Tif prize in 1928. He settled in Algeria and became a professor at the School of Fine Arts in Algiers. He obtained a silver medal at the Universal Exhibition of 1937 and a gold medal at the Salon of French Artists in 1938. He obtained the Legion of Honor in 1950 and the vermeil medal of the city of Paris in 1982. These works are kept in various museums, the National Museum of Fine Arts in Algiers, the Zabana National Museum in Oran and the Petit Palais in Paris.
