Large terracotta bust of a woman with flowers or "Water lilies" by the French sculptor George Charles Coudray, from the Art Nouveau period around 1900. This sculpture was created especially for the 1900 World's Fair and presented by the artist as a preview at the Paris Salon in 1899. It symbolizes nature represented by a woman, her hair covered in flowers and the foot of the bust decorated with large water lilies. Signature, numbering and stamp on the back of the base.

A student of Alexandre Falguière at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris and Henri Allouard, Georges Charles Coudray exhibited at the Paris Salon between 1882 and 1903. He is recognized by his peers for his busts, sculptures, medals and orientalist works.
