An 18th-century carved wooden sculpture depicting the head of a winged cherub—a child’s face with gentle, expressive features, framed by finely chiseled curls of hair—with broad wings featuring detailed feathers spreading out on either side of the lower part of the face, forming a protective shell around it. The sculpture is carved from dark, varnished wood and features a beautiful, warm patina with some slight signs of wear that attest to its 18th-century origin; a lovely decorative piece.
