Large pair of angels in natural carved wood and gilded. The seraphim's faces exude great tenderness.

The two envoys from Heaven each hold a phylactery carved into the mass. The Latin phrases "Quæ cœli pandis ostium" and "Bella premunt hostilia" come from Ô salutaris Hostia, a Christian hymn composed by Saint Thomas Aquinas and sung during daily mass in the presence of the Sun King during the reign of Louis XIV.
The large golden wings folded along the body are gilded.
