    A polychrome and gilded wooden sculpture in the round, depicting Saint Anne accompanying the young Virgin Mary in learning to read the Holy Scriptures.
    Saint Anne, dressed in a blue cloak and a veil in ivory and gold tones, holds an open book whose pages bear inscriptions. These are the opening words of the Creed: "I believe in one God, the Father Almighty."

    Beside him, the Virgin and Child, dressed in an ochre robe and a blue mantle, stands attentively beside her mother. The richly polychrome composition is distinguished by the treatment of the drapery, the gilt highlights, and the expressive faces.
    The work exhibits old polychromy with wear and numerous losses, attesting to its age.
