Lovely Louis XV period Bergère, with convertible back, resting on four cambered legs.
Upholstered in Cream Velvet fabric. Good seating. Good stability.

BLANCHARD Nicolas
Master in Paris in 1738.
Nicolas Blanchard, from a family of carpenters, and father of the famous Jean Nicolas. Awarded the title of Master in 1738, he established himself on rue de Cléry, where he is still listed as a joiner in 1750. The chairs bearing his stamp are all in the Louis XV walnut style and decorated with rocailles. His two sons, Sylvain Nicolas and Jean Nicolas, continued in the same business as their father.
