This is a beautiful and decorative pair of hairdressing or powdering armchairs made of carved and molded walnut. They are distinguished by their flat, curved backs, elegantly arched at the top, as well as their wide and comfortable seats.
Italian armchairs of this quality are rare in the antiques market and will appeal to collectors and enthusiasts of 18th-century furniture. These pieces showcase superb Italian craftsmanship characteristic of the early 18th century, circa 1720-1730.

Our armchairs are in good overall condition. They have been restored in our workshops, where internal belt reinforcements have been added. The traditional strap fittings and horsehair stuffing have been recently redone. This pair of armchairs is covered with a magnificent jacquard fabric woven with floral patterns in red, pink, and gold colors.
