Pair of armchairs in mahogany-style stained wood, with banded backrest and baluster armrest consoles, resting on tapered legs at the front and saber at the back
Each is stamped with P ACHARD
Work from the Directory or Consulate period, late 18th or early 19th century
They are presented as they are, in their "juice", formerly lacquered, small accident to one of the backrests, with their old straps red striped silk cover
Pierre Achard received master in Grenoble in 1784 exercises until 1823
A Directoire armchair by this carpenter is classified as a historical monument, it is kept at the Genoble Institute of Geology.
