A set of six "Tonneau" model chairs designed by Pierre Guariche in the 1950s and 1960s and produced by Steiner. The frame is made of black lacquered metal and the seat is made of molded plywood, covered in skai, typical of this post-war period marked by technical and aesthetic innovation. These chairs perfectly illustrate the revival of French design in the 1950s and 1960s, which sought forms that were functional, light, and refined. Very well preserved.
