Elegant Set of 3 Chinese Carved and Inlaid Wood Armchairs - Late 19th / Early 20th century

Superb set of solid wood Chinese armchairs, finely carved and adorned with mother-of-pearl inlays depicting delicate floral motifs. The openwork back features a central inlaid medallion and is surmounted by a carved element in the shape of a bat, a symbol of happiness and prosperity in traditional Chinese art.

The armrests and base are harmoniously crafted with scrolled details and geometric motifs typical of Asian craftsmanship.

Two of the armchairs are sold with matching cushions, while the third is cushionless.
