Three-seater sofa from the Louis XVI period, model known as 'eel-head', in carved walnut, 18th century.
The backrest features a characteristic triple undulation topped with a central carved medallion with radiating floral motif, surrounded by laurel leaves. The armrests terminate in carved eel-head details, the distinctive element of this model. The feet are tapered and fluted, adorned with rosettes at the knees, typical of the Louis XVI ornamental repertoire. The wood displays a golden-brown patina with authentic wear traces.
The entire piece has been fully restored. The upholstery has been redone in plain weave with black tapestry nails. The price includes the supply of the final fabric, to be provided to the seller prior to the upholsterer.
Dimensions: H. 102 cm – L. 200 cm – D. 50 cm. Weight: 50 kg. Delivery not included.
