Thonet chair N° 18, from 1875, perfect condition, caning ready for service. The pre-1882 N°18 model is hard to find, but is easily recognizable because the backrest decoration is screwed in from the outside.
Hand caned with 2.2mmX2.5mm German cane (SR weave).
Dimensions, total height: 92 cm, seat height: 47 cm, diameter: 41.5 cm. side reinforcements which have enabled this chair to reach us in good structural condition.
Label (1c) and stamp in seat belt.
Parts in perfect condition, original (rare) natural beech stain under shellac.
