This beautiful table, in blond oak, is typical of Lorraine production. Its large top, rounded at the corners, features a "bec de corbin" molding, and is made of four planks held together by a socket at each end, with a nicely molded indentation in the center and around the edge. It rests on four baluster-shaped legs linked by a brace. A functional piece of furniture par excellence, it would make a pleasant dining room table in a country-style interior, or even an office table. In a perfect state of preservation, this table has retained its original ball-shaped legs, and has undergone no restoration apart from a small rectangular piece on the top. Dating from the 18th century, its dimensions are 181 cm long, 73 cm wide and 72 cm high, and the height below the belt is 57.5 cm. The feet can be raised by 2 or 3 cm.
