History

The company was founded in Lyon at the end of the 19th century by Henri Bouillet.

In 1919, Laurent Bouillet partnered with the engraver Bourdelle, giving rise to the Bouillet & Bourdelle brand. From 1924, the company was based in Villeurbanne, near Lyon, and developed a significant production of silverware and cutlery.

It acquired the Cailar-Bayard cutlery factory and enjoyed great success during the Art Deco period.

Reputation

Bouillet Bourdelle is considered one of the leading French silversmiths of the interwar period, with numerous Art Deco creations. The company notably produced cutlery for the Concorde, which contributed to its renown.
