    oil/vinegar cruet
    in silver-plated metal
    navette-shaped decorated with eagle heads and palmettes.
    The cruets are made of cut glass.
    Napoleon III period creation
    signed Victor Saglier (1809-1894)

    Victor Saglier was a ceramicist and goldsmith known in particular for his works in the Art Nouveau style of the late 19th century.
    He produced, among other things, objects in enameled glass, gilded metal, and numerous pieces of silverware.
    After his death, the company was bought by his brothers, who continued its production until 1948.
    Victor Saglier's objects are signed with the "VS" mark, with a boat between the two initials.
