A charming gilded bronze frame, signed on the enameled dial: Maison MARNYHAC, 1 rue de la Paix in Paris.
It consists of a clock flanked by two putti holding a garland of flowers; the movement is surmounted by the symbols of love—the quiver and the torch—resting on flowers, a ribbon, and a laurel wreath. The striking mechanism is signed JAPY and is in good working order.
The two-light candelabras are held by a boy and a girl.

Marnyhac & Co. was a company specializing in the manufacture and sale of artistic bronze works, founded around 1865 by the artist Jacques Elie Edmond Armand de Marnyhac, known as Charles de Marnyhac (1840–1897).
The first store was located on Rue de la Paix, and the workshops were on Avenue de Wagram in Paris.
In its early years, the firm participated in the 1867 World’s Fair, where it won a bronze medal, and then in the 1878 World’s Fair, where it was awarded a gold medal and the Legion of Honor. The presentation of the firm’s works at this event attracted considerable attention.
