Circa 1820 chiseled and gilt bronze vase clock. The swan-neck-shaped handles each end in a mask. Two swans quenching their thirst in a fountain complete the clock's ornamentation.
The vase rests on a square base decorated with applique flower baskets and palmettes. The clock rests on four flattened ball-shaped feet.
Movement inserted into the body of the square vase with curved corners.
Annular guilloché gilt bronze dial signed CHEVILLAD ROSIER in Paris and white enamel with Roman numerals. Steel "bréguet" hands.
The movement, with an eight-day operating time, strikes the hours and half-hours, and is suspended by a wire.
Original mercury gilding in excellent condition without the slightest wear, alternating between matte and shiny effects.
Complete with balance wheel and one for winding. The winding speed is adjusted using a thumbwheel on the back of the movement.
