A finely chiseled and mercury-gilded bronze clock with both matte and burnished finishes. The clock features a post housing the movement, adorned with acacia branches that extend into caryatid pilasters. At the center, it is decorated with a stork amidst foliage. The base features an applied motif of a fountain flanked by two butterflies.
The hexagonal base is embellished with a bas-relief depicting cherubs playing the game "Blind Man's Bluff." Cupid, standing on the terrace, blindfolded and holding his bow, is being guided by a dog—a symbol of fidelity.
The white enamel dial is signed Lucin, Rue des Deux Ponts No. 44, Paris. The movement features an anchor escapement with a silk thread suspension.
The mercury gilding is in good state of preservation.
