Strikes automatically at the hour, half-hour, and quarter-hour, with a push-button to activate the strike button on demand. Brass case in “gorge” style with five beveled glass panels.
White enamel dial signed MAYENCE Paris.
Strikes the hours and quarters on two gongs with two hammers; a third hammer is used for the alarm. Anchor escapement.

Chime mode selection (grande sonnerie, petite sonnerie, or silence) via a lever at the base of the case.
