Louis XVI period portico clock with obelisk, crafted in white Carrara marble, black marble, gilt bronze, and Wedgwood.
The quadrangular, pyramidal columns rise elegantly upward, each topped with a gilt bronze globe. The shafts are decorated with openwork gilt bronze and inlaid into the marble, resting on pedestals featuring oval white and blue Wedgwood medallions.
The rectangular base is adorned with gilt motifs and stands on four spinning top-shaped feet.
The movement features a floral-decorated apron conforming to its shape and is topped with a flower-filled vase.
The clock strikes the hours and half-hours, has a wire suspension, and a white enamel dial with black Arabic numerals for the hours and minutes, and red numerals indicating the date of the month. It is signed JORAM Paris in blue.
