Finely chased ormolu clock featuring palmettes, a vase in bloom and garlands of flowers.
The left side features an ancient Greek goddess holding an olive branch in her left hand, symbolizing peace, and gazing at a butterfly resting on a flower vase.
A dog standing on its hind legs at the feet of the figure symbolizes fidelity.
On the right-hand side, a large Medici vase stands on a column.
The enameled dial with Roman numerals is signed "Le Roy et Fils Horlogers du Roi à Paris".
Good condition, with a small chip on the dial and a slight offset on the figure's belt (see photo).
Movement with key and wire balance, to be overhauled.
First third of the 19th century.
