This clock in the form of a vase is in patinated bronze and gilded bronze, it rests on a square base embellished with a frieze of stylized lotus flowers alternated with palmettes. The vase rests on a gilded pedestal, the frieze of palms alternating with lanceolate leaves that supports the body is also gilded. The dial is enamelled white and the hours are written in Arabic numerals. Its rich decoration consists of a garland of pampers, masks of fauna. The neck supports lion masks, the mouth wide open, they are inscribed in rhombuses that are connected on the front and on the back by two lotus flowers. The lid ends with a seed or a pine cone fixed on a rosette of small leaves. The gilding is original as well as its wire movement. A very slight chip on the dial at the level of one of the key axes as well as some small cracks or scratches to the enamel. Good working condition.
Clock signed Blanc fils on the dial, he was a Parisian clockmaker installed from 1810 to 1820 at the Palais Royal in the Galerie de Pierre.
