Fireplace trim, entitled "The Harpist", in sea green marble and bronze, including a rotor clock with a white enamel dial, composed of Roman numerals for the hours and Arabic for the minutes. The needles form a fleur-de-lis.
"The Harpist" represents a young woman, seated, playing the harp in front of her lectern, topped with an antique trumpet and a cherub among the clouds.
The octagonal base is decorated with flower motifs, lyres and openwork friezes, where putti play their musical instruments and ride lions.
This set also includes a pair of candelabras, with a fluted shaft, four sconces, and adorned with similar ornamentation on the base.
These elements rest on four small conical feet, decorated with small hearts.
Music and Mythology come together in this mantelpiece, with finely chiseled candelabra.
