Set of 4 Refined Chairs, with solid Mahogany structure, designed during the Directoire period.
The backs, rectangular in shape, have moldings in their facades. It will be remembered that this is the result of meticulous cabinetmaking work, since they were formed by knocking out, in other words shaped by the size of the wood, in its thickness.
Each of these Seats is covered with fine ribbed velvet and Studded, in the color Celestial Blue. This covering, posterior to the rest of the Chair, is present on the backrests and the seats.
It will be noted that the latter are of generous dimensions. Framed by four Beech Veneer crossbars, they were designed in accordance with Tradition, with straps and springs.
The bases of these Seats, relatively Sober, are of great stability. In the front part, the Cylindrical and straight legs accommodate a pair of Casters, making it easier to move the Chair to accommodate its guest. Those at the back are Sabers, and slightly Tapered at the bottom.
This Suite of 4 Bicentennial Chairs has been well thought out. It has benefited from Quality Work, added to a certain Robustness, the whole allowing it to cross the centuries.
