impressive 19th century Herbalist or Pharmacist jar, blown and cut glass, with lid and carved wooden base, 56 cm high!
The body of the baluster-shaped vase: 33cm x 17cm in diameter. The jar, with a polished lentil pontil, was cut into two levels of flat ribs, a row on the lid, which ends with a cut fret. The period base, in fruit wood, is nicely carved. A very beautiful object, display vase in the window....
The condition is good, there is a small interior trace of limestone, and the upper edge of the wooden base needs to be rectified, as clearly visible in our photos.
