Pretty little nutcracker pliers in turned and polished steel, decorated with engraving of grids, nets and branches, the two levers with turned ends.
They are called “pine nut breakers” here, very practical for pine nuts.
Some dentistry books or museums recognize these pliers as having dental use, the quality of them may suggest this.
Dimensions: 13cm x 3cm.
Languedoc, Late 18th or early 19th century.
Condition: Good. No defects, very beautiful fine forging, no or little wear.
