Ivory Coast, Baoulé or Abron people around 1950, very pretty hardwood statue with brown patina representing a woman standing on a circular pedestal, her hands resting on her stomach in a protective and nurturing gesture. She wears a loincloth around her waist. Its ringed neck and the beautiful scarifications that adorn the torso and face indicate belonging to a high-ranking family. The feet and hands are digitized; the hairstyle with large braids and the whole taking up the characteristics of the Baoulé and lagoon corpus.
Height 48.5 cm (53.5 cm with the base).
