Nigeria, Mambila people, first half of the 20th century, very interesting “Tadep” type statuette in hardwood, with a dark brown patina with shiny reflections. She is straight cut, her hands placed on her stomach, her head triangular in shape with a slightly concave, heart-shaped face. The facial features are prominent, the eyes like coffee beans and the mouth open.
Height 18.5 cm (22.5 cm with base). The scale indicator in the last photograph is a small model of a lighter from a brand known to everyone.
Good condition except for visible traces of xylophagous attacks, now completely neutralized; without impact on the very beautiful aesthetic of this piece.
