Democratic Republic of Congo, Luba people, 1960s, very pretty carved wooden statuette with dark patina depicting an ancestral figure. The character is represented standing, hands placed on either side of his stomach, legs slightly bent and serene face with half-closed eyes.
Beautiful quality sculpture.
Height 15 cm (17.5 cm with the base from a later period highlighting it, will be attached to the shipment). The scale witness in the last photograph is a small model of a lighter from a well-known brand.
