Ritual dolls of the 19th century articulated in wood used by the MIAO, YAO and NAXI cultures. Married coiples wishing to have children come to the temple to pray, bringing a doll as an offering.
Wooden sculpture with a patina of time measuring 28 cm, remains of the original polychrome patina quite well preserved and still perfectly readable.
It is to be noted that a hand is missing on one of the statues. The metal base is of modern manufacture. This very rare set comes from the former collection of the hyperrealist painter P.A. from his house in Taroudant, Morocco.
