    Burma, Konbaug dynasty, (last Burmese monarchy), 19th century, important and superb bowl in solid embossed silver, richly and very finely decorated with legendary and religious scenes in niches all around the body. They are surrounded and topped with foliage motifs, all resting on a stylized lotus decoration. Good state of conservation. The quality of the work is remarkable both in the attention paid to the smallest details and in the fidelity of the iconographic representation.
    Museum piece.
    Provenance: acquired in 1974 from a renowned antique dealer in Bangkok.
    Height 10 cm. Diameter 10.5 cm. The scale indicator in the last photograph is a small model of a lighter from a brand known to everyone.
