Pair of gilt bronze and white marble incense burners in the form of antique amphorae resting on a triangular base and supported by an anthropomorphic Athenian base with Bacchic figures.
The twisted handles are accented with scalloped bead friezes. The removable lids are topped with fruit-shaped handles encircled with vine leaves.

This pair of incense burners features very finely chiseled bronze and its original, uncleaned gilding.

Louis XVI period, last quarter of the 18th century.
