Small Napoleon III writing case, composed of Thuya Burl, Amaranth and Brass Filet, designed by the renowned Parisian house "E. Bonhomme", whose shop was located 61-62 in the galleries of the Palais Royal.
The slightly domed upper part, fitted with its lock and key, opens onto three compartments for writing accessories. At the ends, two small spaces accommodate the original glass inkwells with brass top. In the central part, there is a feather storage with its rosewood cover, easily removable thanks to its small pull button.
Its main flap, discreetly curved, is embellished in its center with a brass and mother-of-pearl motif on an Amaranth background, itself in a Thuja burl set. Its angles, like those of the first, are reinforced with Brass. He uncovers a writing part, trimmed with red leather, adorned with golden vignettes and angles. It also folds down, providing storage for mail, the bottom of which is in rosewood. Note that an additional space is integrated for the storage of pencils and pens.
This portable writing case will satisfy lovers of history and beautiful feathers, while elegantly decorating your desk.
