    An elegant late 19th-century tabletop photo frame made of gilt bronze.

    Rectangular in shape, it is surrounded by a rich relief decoration of stylized roses, foliage, and scrolling foliage, forming a continuous frieze on all four sides.
    The generous and dynamic decoration reflects the Louis XV and Rococo style, highly prized in the decorative arts of the second half of the 19th century.
    The reverse, entirely made of metal, retains its two-pronged articulated easel stand, allowing the frame to be displayed vertically on a chest of drawers, console table, or desk.
