Our monstrance is made of silver-plated copper. Fine work from southern Germany, dating from the late 17th or very early 18th century.
The lunula was re-inscribed. It houses a medallion depicting a Roman family scene. Protected by the Holy Spirit, and undoubtedly echoing the relic presented, it depicts Saint Marcellinus and his family, martyred in the year 303.
The medallion is surrounded by four relics.
On the opposite side, on the back of the main relic, in a delicate and meticulous setting of gilded wire, a relic of Saint Marcellinus, Martyr, is honored, surrounded by four relics including those of Saint Bacchus, Saint Prosper, and Saint Baptist.
