St. Thérèse of Lisieux: Art Deco Polychrome Plaster Sculpture, Early 20th Century

Created during the Art Deco period (1910–1939), this plaster sculpture depicts St. Thérèse of Lisieux, a French saint who died a martyr in the 19th century.

She is known for her Carmelite habit and her attributes: roses (for her “miracle of the roses,” in which a shower of roses is said to have fallen on the convent) and the crucifix of Jesus that she held close to her during her illness.

In excellent condition, this sculpture perfectly embodies the natural geometric aesthetic of Art Deco, blending sophistication with high-quality innovation—ideal for a collection of French religious crafts.

Fast and careful shipping to France, Europe, and worldwide.
