Two-part carved fir buffet – Late 18th century
An elegant two-part buffet in solid fir dating from the late 18th century, showcasing fine carving and a warm patina.
The upper section features two molded doors richly carved with floral motifs, scrolls, and bunches of grapes, surmounted by a remarkable central carved shell. The lower section comprises two drawers in the frieze and two doors also adorned with carved decoration. The shaped lower rail is embellished with carved decoration, adding considerable character to the piece.
The panels are mounted with flat bands and framed by elegant moldings. The hardware, including keyhole escutcheons, is bronze.

This buffet has retained all the authenticity and charm of its period with its beautiful original patina, highlighting the grain of the fir. Period: Late 18th century
