    Two-section cabinet sideboard in molded walnut – Louis XIII period, 17th century
    A substantial two-section sideboard in solid walnut, in the Louis XIII style, dating from the 17th century. This beautifully crafted piece features a richly molded front composed of four doors with raised panels and three drawers in a band, surmounted by a dentil cornice that lends it a classic elegance and a striking presence.
    The piece is crafted from solid walnut with a warm patina acquired over the centuries. The side panels are adorned with understated carved decorations, typical of French furniture of this period, while the doors feature antique hardware and original keyholes.
    The interior, recently lined with red fabric, offers ample storage space spread across several levels. This lining, which can easily be reversed if desired, enhances the piece’s appearance while protecting the shelves.
    The sideboard is in good condition. The structure is sound and stable, with signs of wear, past restorations, and minor irregularities that one would expect from a piece of furniture over three centuries old. The back, made of antique oak panels, confirms its authenticity.
