Elegant and robust, this solid acacia chest of drawers embodies the refinement of the Louis XV period in the second half of the 18th century.
Originating from the Vannes region, it subtly evokes the curved lines of crossbow dressers, while asserting its maritime character through the solidity of its wood and the richness of its ornamentation.
It opens with three large identical drawers, each adorned with finely worked bronze handles and escutcheons.
The uprights are highlighted by an undercut molding, while the crosspieces, also molded, add to the overall harmony.
The piece rests on "snail" front legs, typical of Louis XV aesthetics, giving it a graceful, yet assertive look.
This commode reflects Breton craftsmanship and 18th-century French elegance. A true work of cabinetmaking.
