Sumptuous Parisian-made chest of drawers featuring an inlaid decoration, fitted with a magnificent Aleppo marble composed of colored fragments with rich shades.
This stepped marble follows the movements of the chest of drawers and has a fine groove around its perimeter.
The facade, the central part of which is also protruding, has three drawers benefiting from Bronze pull rings surmounted by Louis XVI knots. The upper drawer is decorated with an inlay of geometric patterns composed of violet wood and rosewood. The lower drawers have squares of rosewood marquetry and light wood flowers framed with ebony and lemon tree fillets, on a mahogany background. The central part of these two drawers presents a large basket filled with apples, pears and grapes, surrounded by daffodils and roses, the foliage of which is made of wood tinted in aqua green. The basket is held in suspension with a tie whose end has a Louis XVI knot.
In the lower part, the facade is enriched with an important horizontal motif representing delicately carved gilded bronze foliage.
At the corners, this refined chest of drawers has two legs decorated with an embossed macaroon followed by a drop and ending in a shoe. The whole is in finely chiseled gilt bronze.
The sides of this transitional-style piece of furniture are convex in shape and benefit from an inlay identical to that of the front as well as rear legs ending in a small shoe.
This elegant chest of drawers, whose pad-varnished finish is accompanied by a mirror effect, will invite itself into an interior where the beauty of its inlays will be noticed.
