Remarkable Louis XV style chest of drawers, in rosewood and light wood marquetry.
Its Elegant Movement Facade features a Door with a Rare Original Ripple Glass, a vestige of a know-how that has almost disappeared today. Three shelves adorn this upper part, upholstered, like the bottom, with a Yellow Velvet Fabric.
This Cabinet also opens with three Drawers featuring identical graceful curves, each of which is provided with Pull Handles and Bronze Entries. Note the absence of visible crosspieces, allowing a clever continuity in the Marquetry Decorations they display. It is thus possible for us to admire various patterns in Light Wood on a background of Rio Rosewood arranged "in Fern": a basket containing flowers and foliage surmounting two sea creatures.
The sides, convex in shape, are adorned with a period glass and are also embellished with Light Wood Marquetry Ornaments.
The Rosewood Uprights are enriched with a large Brass Groove, and end with slightly refined Feet.
We will appreciate the Sparkle and Prestige that emanates from the multitude of Bronzes which adorn this Furniture: Gallery with curtains and tassels on the top, Chutes on the uprights, Rocaille frames around the Windows and on the low crosspiece, or even clogs on the feet.
This Decorative Cabinet closes with four Original locks, each equipped with its adjusted Key.
Lovers of Exceptional Goods looking to Perfect their home will undoubtedly be seduced by this Magnificent Commode Showcase.
