Small Louis XVI Period Marquetry Chest of Drawers

circa 1780

Delightful Louis XVI period "Commode d'Entre Deux" in Rosewood and Mahogany veneer, resting on tapered legs ending in gilded bronze sabots.

This Chest of Drawers has a Turquoise Blue Marble Top, opening with two drawers on the front, decorated with hunting trophies. Its Mounts with Cut Joints. Gilded Bronze pull rings, lock escutcheons and shoes. Beautiful wood.

Furniture of fine craftsmanship, refined and elegant. Beautiful Marquetry work. Rare for its beautiful proportions, able to enhance any type of room: living room, bedroom, hallway.

Louis XVI period, circa 1780, 18th century.
