    Attractive coffee table in mahogany veneer, ebony inclusions and blackened wood fillets. Two pilaster-shaped uprights unite three spacer trays topped by a bowl-shaped top with flap at the front.

    An occasional piece of furniture, "volant" (light furniture on castors designed to be moved as needed), it is intended for the living room, to hold ladies' books or for a snack. Work from the Directoire period, circa 1790, late 18th century.

    Good general condition, old restorations, varnish cleaned and repolished by our cabinetmaker, slightly insolated.
