Important desk all sides in blackened pear, with patterns and inlays, dating from the first part of the 19th century.
The top, bordered by a bronze rod, features a brass decoration representing volutes, scrolls and beribboned branches. It also offers nets forming a double frame.
The belt, in the same style, has a large drawer whose interior, in mahogany, is divided into six compartments.
The uprights are decorated with chiseled motifs of branches forming hearts.
The square legs, sheathed and inlaid, are underlined with gadroons and rosettes, and end with bronze clogs.
This base is connected by a spacer, in a chaining cross, nicely highlighted by a delicately crafted cassolette.
This important all-sided desk, characterized by its blackened pearwood and brass inlays, will convince with its interesting work surface and the finesse of its ornaments.
