    Louis XV-style marquetry desk signed François Lesage ( 1796-1867 ), a 19th-century Parisian cabinetmaker working in the
    in the tradition of the 18th-century masters, who became Napoleon III's supplier in 1850. This desk is in rosewood marquetry
    decorated with superb gilded bronzes featuring cherubs' heads. The front features three drawers, while the visitor's side
    is identical, with false drawers. The top, encircled by a gilded bronze moulding, is covered with fine gold-decorated havana leather.
    This elegant desk is of the highest cabinetmaking quality.
    DIMENSIONS: 1.37m x 0.76m and 0.77m high.
