Charming furniture in Rosewood composed of two elements including a sloping desk surmounted by a small Showcase accompanied by two drawers.
This Showcase is provided with two Framed Doors and Miter Cup adorned with a Lemon and Bronze Fillet finely chiseled on the interior part and on the joint cover. The right door is equipped with an Original Lock in working order with its attached Key. The Uprights meanwhile are furnished with beautiful Bronze Chutes in the upper and lower part. Two Drawers with Brass Pull Knob are enriched with Light Wood Marquetry with floral motifs and a refined Center Knot.
This Set is surmounted by an Elegant Openwork Brass Gallery and a finely carved half-round rod.
In the lower part, a harmonious Sloping Desk benefits from a beautiful Light Wood Marquetry on its flap and its front cross member. These works represent Delicate Flowers, Leaves and Branches, underlined by a fine Lemon Tree Filet.
The hinged flap reveals a Luminous Red Sheepskin Leather with Napoleon III Golden Vignette in the corners and edges.
The interior of the desk is composed of two drawers in Rosewood with Lemon Tree Filet, a large niche above and a large storage compartment concealed by a sliding shelf with a Brass bowl push-button.
This Cabinet rests on four very harmonious Curved Feet provided in height with a Chute and at the bottom of Hoofs, in Brass. The Sides are exceptionally curved, taking the shapes of the Feet.
Graceful and well-proportioned, this Small Napoleon III Rosewood Showcase Desk leaves no one indifferent.
