Narrow two-body cabinet in solid walnut, richly carved with hunting scenes, opening with a highly molded drawer and featuring a bronze drop handle depicting a smiling grotesque mask. The upper part of this piece features a framed door opening with a chased key with carved openwork entrance and working lock. In the center of the door, a carved panel depicts a man galloping on his horse, surrounded by a wild boar being chased by dogs. In the background, we see a castle on a hill. The relief is significant, bringing the scene to life. On either side of the door, slender detached fluted columns are accompanied by carved supports. The lower part of the cabinet is similarly equipped with a framed door, darkened by a panel carved in relief. It is surrounded by a fluted column on each side. Large moldings are supported by galette feet at the front. Each unit is fitted with an adjustable shelf on racks.
The unit can be dismantled into two parts.
