Directoire period library table. Late 18th century. Made of cherry wood, it stands on four eight-sided legs ending in bronze sabots and castors. It opens with four original drawers in the waistband, with oak inlays. The cherrywood top, probably refinished in the 19th century, is molded with a cavet. Old grafts on two drawers. This table has a beautiful honey-colored finish. Its diameter allows it to be used as a dining room table. Waxed finish.
