A beautiful creation by Charles Schneider (1881-1953), a French Art Deco master glassmaker, from the Maison Charder. After studying in Nancy and collaborating with Daum, he founded the company Le Verre Français in 1913, known as Verreries Schneider, in Epinay-sur-Seine. By 1925, it had no fewer than 500 employees and was internationally renowned.
This vase is a very fine example of the impressive and rare Rhododendrons series, created in 1927 and discontinued in 1928.
A vase in acid-etched multi-layer glass featuring three rhododendrons on a marbled background. White powdered glass lined with pink powdered glass, etched orange, then shading purple toward the bottom. Superb floral acid-etched engraving, reworked on the decorative details.
Height 48 cm - Diameter 18 cm
